ShweMi Industrial Co., Ltd. was established on the eighth day of Arpil,1997 as 100 % local owned, manufacturing company in accord with the company Registration No.45/1997-1998 under Myanmar Companies Act (1914) with permission from the Ministry of National Planning and Economic Development.

Four of Myanmar Engineers, recruited for Plastic Printing Business were sent to Indonesia for studying the business at PT. Miwon Indonesia and they stayed there for 6 moths to learn all the printing processes detail.

The advanced machines, imported from South Korea, arrived in late 1997 and the commercial production was successfully launched on February 15, 1998. We started our business in HlaingTharyar Industrial Zone (2) and in the late 2004, the whole plant was transferred to current location of No.49, Mya TaungWunGyi U Hmo Street, HlaingThayar Industrial Zone (1).

Because of fulfilling the Consumers and Entrepreneurs’ requirement in a straight way with precise quality products and also the comprehensive responses and kind supports of consumers & entrepreneurs, very hard efforts of our own employees and the true guidance of Management, our Company, started only with 7 machines, became the Market Leader in packaging business very shortly and it even reached a status of running the business with more than 40 machines due to reinvestment process.
